Default PlayStation Boss Silences Pundit Blaming PS4 for Kids Playing Too Much

his morning Sony Computer Entertainment Europe President Jim Ryan made an appearance on the early morning program BBC Breakfast to talk about the launch of the PS4. Unfortunately the host seemed to have a different agenda and tried to steer the discourse in another direction, lamenting the fact that kids play games too much.

The host mentioned that theres a lot of frustration between parents due to the fact that every time they walk into the living room their sons are playing with their console, asking Ryan how long would he advise for kid to play games for. Ryan was fast on his feet and rather clear cut in his response.

Well You need to look after your kids a bit better. We feel parents have considerable responsibility in this. We make the games, our industry makes the games: some are for children and some are for adults and we feel that parental responsibility is fundamental.

This is exactly why they have parental controls, so use them. And if its turning into such a big deal that kids are playing too much, take it away for a little and make them work for it.. And another thing to think about is, that if you make a game, what are the buyers do with it, use it as a Frisbee for their pets or play the damn game!

Im pretty sure they literally just had a system update on the PS vita that allows parents to limit the ammount of gaming kids can do in a day on that system.... if parents are to stupid to look into these features... or parent in a way that doesnt require such features... its not the companies fault

The moderate use of consoles is the parents responsability and ofc the teen's use of conscious...not the service's fault
