It's a game where you can adventure and build. Survive. Fight.
Play with friends or play solo.
Your options on what to build is only limited by your imagination, and of course the few limits (borders) of the game.
Teachers integrate Minecraft into school. There's a whole program online for homeschool kids with Minecraft.
People use it for fun and learning.
The plugins are endless. Ideas are endless.
It's not "open source" but they allow you to modify it, making the game all the better.
That's why I like it.

I haven't played that game in a while. I guess I liked it because of the freedom.

I like it because of the logic needed for redstone and the wonderful things you can build!

Before I started playing minecraft, I used to see all my mates play it in year 7 and thought it looked pretty cool. It was definitely worth playing because I didn't lose interest the middle of last year.

Played it a straight week and lost interest after. The game gets repetitive and is no fun...at least on console. On PC you can add a bunch of mods to the game and I guess that would amp it up a bit, but my laptop can't even run normal Minecraft smoothly.
