Mario Kart 8
Mario Kart 8 is to be released in the spring of this year. This makes the 11th Mario Kart game in the series. Anti-gravity is said to be a new feature along with bikes, gliders, and underwater driving to return. The Anti-gravity tracks feature narrow passages while players drive vertical or even upside down. During this, is a player is bumped they will spin out rather than be shoved. Coins, that were in Super Mario Kart, Super Circuit, and Mario Kart 7, are also returning and like Mario Kart 7, players can only carry 10 at a given time. Like Mario Kart Wii 12 racers are present in a common race. This is the fourth Mario Kart to feature past tracks (retro) from other games. There will a Miiverse integration, allowing players to show replays of their games and people to comment on them. Also split-screen is now vertical split instead of horizontal. Playable characters, and maps are listed below. This does not mean that there is not more that I have not found or the creators haven't talked about.
Mario Circuit, a course which is a chain of floating islands where Princess Peach's Castle is located, as well as the main course shown in the E3 2013 trailer.
A sweet themed course, decorated with references to Princess Daisy and Princess Peach, as well as living gingerbread men and gingerbread Toads.
A ruins course filled with different sized Thwomps.
A residential course, with some similarities to the city of San Francisco.
A haunted mansion course with an underwater chamber.
Sunshine Airport, a course in the Star Cup set on the runaways and terminals of an airport.
A canyon filled with giant bones and featuring a part of Dry Bowser's head.
A sky course with beanstalks and airships similar to Sky Garden and Airship Fortress.
GCN Dry Dry Desert
3DS Music Park
3DS Piranha Plant Slide
Yes I typed this all myself so there is no need for a source.

You may have typed all of this yourself, but you didn't just magically gain all of this information.

You should include sources nonetheless. But in any case, sounds like a few interesting twists to a classic game. Too bad the WiiU did so poorly.
