Default Help - Skullcandy Supreme Sound Hesh Headphones

I picked me up some Skullcandy Supreme Sound Hesh Knicks Edition yesterday. I took them out and played some music through my iPod and they sound great, but the cord or whatever is making the the music appear through one side of the headphones or it'll dim the singer and have the background music playing. So I'm thinking its the cord, so i got curious when it happened again I pushed the cord up into the slot for the cord and it sounded like it was supposed too. But when I took the pressure off, it either stayed or went back to being poopy. Any ideas what to do or any fixes?

Those headphones are the worst I've ever had. They break so fucking easily.

You need to push the cord all the way in.

I assume the aux cable has three rings, right? This has happened to my pair as well. The cord isn't in all the way. It may seem in, but it isn't. There is one more ring that needs to click in.

Try making sure the jack is all the way in the headphones.

Yeah, skullcandy may have had products in the past that broke easily, but the products I have bought from them lately are lasting pretty good.

Am I supposed to use the 3 sided or 2 side?

It really doesn't matter. Use the two sided. The three sided requires an extra click in. The third ring is use for the volume rocker on the cable, which should be plugged in the device.

My pair only had a cable with two rings, so I use my beats aux cable with the volume rocker, which is how i experienced the same thing as you.

Hope you get the headphones working!

alright here are your possibilities as to what my experiences are and what people have brought to my shop class to fix:

---Your iPod jack is loose: if you get a pair that does work, and you move the headphone jack back and forth or up and down and you have the same problem, then it's your iPod.

---Your speakers may be blown or partially damaged: this happens if the music is too loud or usually worn out, this would be the last scenario, to fix this you would have to solder and desolder the old speakers with new ones that work.

---Your headphone jack is shit: I have stripped skull candy jacks and they are shitty wiring, you may have to resolder the wires on the jack so it is more connected on.

those are some common problems with headphones and skull candies, if you don't want to solder/desolder then just take that receipt and return your headphones.

Very good possibilities but since I have experience the same problems he has with aux cables that have volume rockers, his most likely problem is that the cable isn't in all the way.

But Ryan also has great points. If you tested another pair of ear buds/headphones that work perfectly fine, then it's the headphones situation (which we already stated and have a solution already told), that's, if you experienced the same problem that I had with my pair.
