[GT6] Bugatti Veyron '13 16.4 Topped out at 297 mph...
So there I was on Route X (10?) and I wanted to test run with the Dog Clutch Trans. It so happens that if you have this on, you make just about any vehicle much faster than it actually is. I tried this with the Mercedes McLaren.... 272 mph. The world land speed record for road legal cars is currently 270.9 mph (approx.) by the American made Hennessy Venom GT.
Listed below are the current stats for the Buggati:
Performance Points - 696
Max Power - 1261 HP
Weight - 1406 kg
Front/Rear Weight Dist - 46:54 (Standard)
Displacement - 7993 cc (Standard)
Max Torque - 1056 ft lb
Drivetrain - 4WD (Standard)
Length - 175.7 in (Standard)
Width - 78.7 in (Standard)
Height - 45.6 in (Standard)
Now if I recall correctly it took the Buggati Veyron another 200 to 300 extra HP and a lighter/smoother body just to add about another 5-10 mph onto its top speed. But here I had it jump from 268 (approx.) to 297 on a slight downhill slope and while using nitro, without drafting mind you. Flat out it will go 281 mph without having to slow down at any time.
Got about a 4:13 lap time on Route X without even trying.
Also works with the Red Bull Fan Car (Tops at 308 w/o drafting)

I believe my Pagani Huayra 15th Anniversary edition was able to ride steady at 302mph until I pushed on the nitrous. It would top out somewhere in the mid 320mph range.
And Hennessey Venom GT, fuck yeah!

1. You're going downhill, so obviously you'll be able to reach a higher top speed than you normally would.
2. You said you used nitrous when you ran the Bugatti Veyron, which further invalidates your results.
I wouldn't be surprised if the cars really were capable of going faster than their real life counterparts, but I would attribute that to GT6's aerodynamics. Some cars could reach 300 MPH, but the only thing that stops them is aerodynamic drag, In the game, maybe the aerodynamic drag doesn't affect the car as much as it does in real life.
