This isn't news. In china that is where the wii mini came from and the 2ds. I would guess it will be a smaller version of the wii u without degrading the console too bad and still allowing online play.
They want to build a console for the lesser privileged that isn't a cut down of the actual wii u. They aren't building a new console that is any better than the wii u. Just cheaper, to be able to hit the poorer countries.
They are building their online users. A console that can play the current games being made but probably will be missing most of the usb ports. And probably will have to be hard line connected to internet. And will probably have to have an external hard drive for mass storage as in having only a 4 gig drive. Also will probably not have the v wii emulator drive and software. And will be capable of using a pro controller and not come with the handheld screen controller.
I swear some people you wonder how they get their underwear inside their pants in the morning without help.
