need to unlock bootloader on my alps m9700 android

I'm not completely new to rooting and flashing, although i am a newbe. i see now we must unlock the bootloader in order to gain root access. i have rooted my phone but still have not gained root access, and i really need a new rom for this phone! any help is much appreciated.

The SRS root thing was the only thing I could find.... I'm not sure if it unlocks the bootloader as well. Just install clockworkmod. Try if that works. You can find it on the play store.
