I have been at CL for 3 ½ years now. When I came here it was slow, laid back, and composed of a rooted family of a few dedicated members. It's earlier era of SWRS flocks had come and gone, and what remained were the dedicated and most devoted of those along with the ones who aided in the site's creation. I came here asking aids for his help to put an end to people selling wii codes and treating people like peons in the process. He agreed and together along with some others, we took down hetoan's little "empire" and shut down wii code sales entirely within a few months.
Wii code creations boomed here at CL as aids carried forth his practices in free speech, open mindedness, and sharing of ideas and methodologies. In the process, waves of new members flocked here. Many from google, in search of COD codes. Many of you that may read this post are a member from that wave.
I've seen many things here since then. People who did nothing but leech. People who spammed constantly either to be dicks or to boost post counts. People who helped others, and those who hindered. People who tried to take CL down in various ways, and those who promoted it greatly. People who strove to become staff and take it seriously. People came and people went.
But i'm making this post to let some of you know something. This is mainly to all of you making the statements about leaving because your friends left, your bored with it, you dislike certain people, staff is incompetent, wii coding is dead so CL is dead too, etc.
CL isn't going anywhere. Aids will ensure that. If for some reason in the future he couldn't, then someone else will carry it forward. Many are willing and capable. If you only want to contribute in a negative fashion and be hateful, then go. If you are only being pessimistic about how things happen here, then go. If you don't like it here, then go. Nobody is forcing you to be here. Nobody. You can leave here just as willingly as you came. CL will continue to survive just fine without your drama, spam, negativity, and nonsense. I also assure you, there will continue to be future waves of code liberation and new members that come along with it. Whether it be weeks, months, or even years in between those waves; they will come.
I know I rarely post any more. I feel bad for it and wish I could do more right now. But I have a busy life. I have a full-time job, help my roomate with his company at home on the side, have a gf, a newborn, etc. But that doesn't mean i'll leave CL behind. I don't go ranting and raving wishing CL were better suited to MY needs. I don't get up in my feels and make dramatic "fuck you guys im out" threads. I simply check up on the forum when I can, I hang out in the irc and chat with yall when I can, and (although rarely) I make posts when I can. It's that simple. If at one point you loved CL, why don't you now? CL hasn't changed a bit, only some of the people in it and some of their attitudes. CL is still a great place and you can still continue to enjoy it.
The point, in closing, is this:
CL isn't dead and isn't going to die.
People have lives and things change.
Get the fuck over yourself.
If you don't like it, gtfo.
In the meantime, go hide and watch as we continue to do this shit proper.

agreed DNS, just because a few people want to shit on the site dont mean shit, people have been shitting on us for 6 years now.
sites come and go, tastes change, people change, times change, it happens....
if i didnt believe in the site and the people who use it then i wouldnt have moved it off a shared host onto a dedicated server, i would have just let it slip away silently.
The days of hacking current-gen consoles have gone, but there will always be a place here for old-school hackers and coders, ill see to that.
Thanks for the awesome post dude.

even though I got a 24/7 job and always fucking tired, I always get on here and check out what's up. I've been here for almost 6 years and plan on staying for longer.
Your mom says hi.

Great post @ OP.
Also anyone that actually knows anything about websites at all would realize that this forum makes no money.
So unless Aids got bored with it he would have no reason to shut it down do to lack of activity.

THE FEELS. Good post man, I dig your vibe.
When I was first on CL, I was browsing the forum on a toaster. Every link I clicked (hoping it would load) had a cluster of sick codes for swrs, and it was all free, it was all operational.
I've been here forever and I plan to keep it that way.
I've met some great people here, made friendships, made enemies, made mistakes and learned from them. Kinda like life lol.
I view CL as a community rather than just a "site." Now when I open the door I never know what I'll find. I honestly like it that way, kind of thrilling.

You can easily enjoy CL but some people can't see that apparently.
Great post dns.
