Anime Over-view, Clannad
Clannad is considered 1 of the 3 Anime's every newcomer needs to watch before they can say "I like Anime". The other two being Air, and Kanon 2006.
Clannad follows a delinquent named Tomoya through Highschool, where he meets a girl named Nagisa. Nagisa's trying to re-establish the School's drama club, but she runs in to problems. Tomoya offers to help her form the club. Along the way they meet a girl named Fuuko. Fuuko literally makes Clannad what it is. She's the best character in any Anime I've ever seen. And I mean that seriously.
While the whole drama club plot isn't interesting, Clannad found a way to make it so. The show itself is barely oriented around the drama club, but more so around the group of friends and their hardships. The art is fantastic, the music is really great, and it'll make you cry 10/10. It's all around just something that you really NEED to watch.
The show has 24 episodes, 23 of which are the main story line, and the last episode, 24th, is Tomoyo-chan's ARC, where it's basically just an alternate ending to the series.
The series grew so popular, that Key, the visual arts studio, decided to make another 24 episodes entitled "Clannad - After Story". Which is where all the real feels are, or so I've been told.
In my free time I'll probably review different series and stuff. I find it fun.

Clannad fucks with your emotions a lot. I'm not saying I don't like it, it was good.
I haven't seen Air yet, I think I may watch that one.

People are going to like/dislike anime regardless of how they get into it or what they end up watching. It's up to them how much it interests them to pursue different series and movies. I'd say just review them and give your opinions, let them be the judge as to what they think.
