PC in an NES? Anyone?
I'm planning on making one. Putting a PC in an NES. But I really have no use for one I plan on selling them on ebay. My question is would you guys buy one? Is it something that you would buy? And what do you guys think?

I'm sure people would buy it for nostalgias sake. I think I'd be cool if it came preloaded with an SNES emulator and all the games.

You're putting PC parts in a NES case?

I use to do this with Mac Mini's to be honest just to have a nice emulator station hooked up to the TV to play MAME, NES, SNES, 64, GBOY, ECT.
People buy them though, just through emulators and a couple games and sell it as a computer/classic arcade emulator station w.e

Yea, they'd buy them. Few years back I remember a group that was selling Commodore64's with ramped up inner parts running with linux.

This got popular a while back, saw it on reddit about a year and a half ago. Everyone and their grandma in the DIY community was doing it, not necessarily always a nes but retro consoles.
There is defiantly a market for it.
are you planning on going mini ATX? if i where to do this i would make the cartridge slot a hard-drive bay for easy swapping (or maybe a cd drive whatever floats your boat)
I was looking to do something similar with my record player a while back, it is an electronic multi stereo and i was going to remove all components and convert it to a HTPC (put fan controller lcd in the old control section)

Pft, get a ZIF drive, hook that shit up VIA SATA, there's your HDD. (ZIF drives = shit Apple used in their like 5th Gen iPods)
Then the cartridge slot is a external CD/DVD drive that spits forward with a slope added to the back of the door to push up when you eject that fucker.
Then again, my idea was sketched up with the use of Mac Minis in the day. Design it how you want.

I like the hard drive idea but the CD would works better. Mini atx is how its most likely gonna fit. If I could stick in a high end graphics card in one of those things it would be great but I don't think it will be possible. I need to get my hands on all the hard ware I would need first.
