Default [Help] iPhone 4 FaceTime/iMessage Error

It keeps saying "Waiting for Activation" for the both of them. It doesnt have service or anything. It also never had a number but for some reason now there's a number. It's also under AT&T.

I have had that problem before what you gotta do man is restart your iPhone. like shut it off wait 60 seconds and then turn it back on, you will have to log into facetime and it should work then, i don't use facetime, my problem was all from iMessage. hope this helped you man, sometimes just a simple restart always helps...

It's actually my girlfriends facetime but I'll tell her to do that. Thanks.

When it's trying to activate the phone when logging into Facetime or iMessage, that means it's trying to use mobile data instead of WiFi for a internet connection.

Make sure she's actually connected to the internet, I just tried with my old iPhone 4. It tried activating it on Verizon because I forgot to turn WiFi back on for it, have never used Facetime before either, but got the same problem you're talking about.

I had the same problem on my phone before too.
I turned it off and back on, reset network settings, used LTE, used 3G, used WiFi, cleared messages and all that. However, I just keep switching through different things. Eventually it worked. I couldn't really pinpoint the cause. Just saying.
