How I charge my Vita
So, I posted a thread a few days ago saying I got a PS Vita on the cheap. 55$ just saying. Already knew there was a problem, it wouldn't "turn on or charge" according to the eBay seller.
Well, this mother fucker slammed dunked his charger into the damn thing breaking the middle barge and most of the pins.
If you guys know anything about Vitas, the pins are small as fuck inside the system, impossible to remove and resolder the charger port unless you like soldering under a microscope (I for one have no problem, just I'm doing alternative stuff with this baby). Since I got this for 55$, I don't care if I fuck it up and burn it to a crisp, but I'd like to have a system working.
Right now I'm working on bypassing the weird fucking port and wire out to a mini USB female that I can charge and data transfer with. This has been done by others, just to let you know.
But more importantly, I love China. I have the Vita taken apart every time I want to charge it, the battery is rigged to a universal battery charger that's in Chinese I picked up in China town in Chicago from electronics side vendor on the street. This thing has helped me in the worst of the worst, losing chargers for cameras and phones is a bitch.
Battery hooked up to my lord and savior:
Places I have to solder for a new USB interface (RED=VCC BLACK=GND GREEN=D+ WHITE=D-):
The system actually on and working:

I never buy new consoles, because of problems that can happen like this. Instead I figure out how to fix those problems, and buy the broken ones to fix/nigrig to how I want it without spending over 100$ in most cases.

Also, my new PSN is: CH3W-T0YS
Haven't logged in or anything yet, just putting it out there.

Shit, that's radical man. I love doing this stuff, I've bought laptops/desktops that are fucked up with decent hardware and made them work brandfukinnew.
I'm doing that with a dell inspirion atm that I got for superfuckin cheap too.

This kills the data transfer usability, but fuck that shit. I'll buy another mainboard for 40$ if I really want data transfer via USB.
Also, I don't care how much work I put into this. It's not about the finished product, just the journey and having fun with shit I picked up on the cheap.
