    Default Dem Site | Building a site

    not sure which section to post this, sry

    So I need some help with my site layout, I'm making this for school, but I'm still unsure on how I want it.

    This image is taken at 67% zoom:

    and this on 100%:

    So basically I like how smooth and cool the layout looks when it's on 67% and I might just edit my html code to make it look like that, but on the other hand the 100% one makes it look more profesional in a way, because you can focus on one 'header?' at a time and it looks more ordered, but yeah
    What do you guys think? any suggestions.

    By the way the site is supposed to be festival themed and we had 7 lessons in total for HTML, so I don't know a whole lot about coding yet, I just want to get the highest grades possible.

    This needs work. The options home, festivals, etc to be lined up horizontal.

    That black for the background, change it to a darker grey that has some transparent in it.

    Choose either a different type of orange, or find a new font style. It does not look good on that black.

    Put those links in a table and have them side by side and spaced out.

    Content!

    Color scheme doesn't go well at all, I get the black and orange kinda harvest/fall look? But the grey doesn't fit in, play with it a little.

    Are you editing it raw or using like Dreamweaver?

    I'm making it in TextWrangler from scratch sort of, basically.
    Well I tried to follow what y'all were saying, but I'm half stuck, for example I'm trying to place the redirect buttons in the middle, but idk how this is the code line atm

    HTML Code:
    li {
    list-style-type: none;
    float: left;
    border: 1px solid white;
    margin-top: 5px;
    margin-left: ;
    margin-right: ;
    padding: 4px;
    background: Black;
    border-radius: 6px;
    }
    I thought it had something to do with the margins, but if for example I do 50px; left margin then they -all- separate and I'm trying to move them all to the left without a spaces yet in between, is there a code for that? or am I fucking up in the {header}

    and now it looks like this

    I have this atm

    I could do it without a border, but we get graded by making it look like an actual button, might play with the color on it though.

    Oh, I had nothing against the border, I was just too lazy to do it.
