Default Arduino Uno Project Ideas and Such.

So basically I'm in this introduction to microprocessors course for my college class. We are using the Arduino Uno in this class. Although this is an introduction course, I'm not new to programming. I'm new to the Arduino however, well new with this course.

So what exactly are we doing? We have to do an end of semester project using this Arduino. Mine has to be different though since I'm in the hybrid course (due to technical reasons) and everyone else is in groups.

First off I want to go ahead and tell you about their project. Basically it's a weather balloon project. They're taking the Arduino up and streaming data to an SD card.
What data are they taking? I know they're taking temperature, altitude (maybe?), and pressure. Along with hacking a camera, the physical form not programming wise, to take pictures ever so many seconds and stream that data to the SD card.

So I have to do something like that...well not exactly like that...but you know.

    So here's my ideas.

    Xbox Controller Modification

So basically the idea here is to take a controller and basically created a modded controller that will do things by itself or have a rapid fire toggle or something. Of course this would all be handled through the Arduino. So almost like you start it and it would emulate the controller on the Xbox.
Any ideas to add onto this?

    Xbox PC Controller

This sounds strange, but almost like setting something up like a PC keyboard but it works on the Xbox 360 and would be handled through the Arduino once again.
This one sound cool? Anything to add?

    A Robot

The simplest idea. A remote controlled robot.

Those are the current ideas I have. Please keep in mind...I have about 6 weeks to do this on a very busy schedule (more or less).

The way i see it, you could use your arduino to make the controller, but also maybe add some modifications to have rapid fire and other mods?

I'm really wanting to do that. If not for this project...as a hobby project. Someone at school was begging me too.
