Default 32 Bit vs 64 Bit

So recently i upgraded to a 4gb ram instead of my old 3 gb ram for my laptop, and doing some research i learned that 64 bit works best with 4gb ram. Currently i'm using a 32 bit operating system but my processor is a 64 bit based processor (dual core). Should i upgrade my OS to 64 bit or just keep it at 32? Thanks

If you're on Windows, you actually need the 64-bit version to support more than 3.something GB of RAM. So if you upgrade again then you'll need 64 bit to get any performance increase.

32 bits will set at 3 gb, use 64 to have access to that extra gig.

It's 3.25, I've tested it on windows xp and 7 just for shits and giggles.

Go with 64 bit and 4-6 gigs of ram is more than enough for moderate gaming, 20 chrome tabs, rainmeter, and a few other applications.
