Try this to get ownership over the files that you want to delete: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...menu-in-vista/

    Do you have antivirus?

in refferal to the question on antivirus, i got sick of the popups from them. in hindsight that may have not been the right decision

    fuck norton.

boot into safemode, start up msconfig and disable the startup applications and services that are and that link to the program.

then find the registry entries for it and manually remove them, also take note if that points toward any other directories where that shit might lurk.

after you've done that, find the program folder(s) and delete them.

now, boot into regular mode and you should be back to normal. if not then there's still a bit of residual shit that needs to be taken care of, just find any suspicious looking .exe that's running in taskmanager. if you can't delete it, then just do the safemode trick as mentioned up above.

you might also want to clear your temporary files and cached files too, there might be an executable in there somewhere that could start up again with the help of an automated script, but that's for really persistent adware/malwlare
