I'm in the market for a new a new tablet, under $250.
I'm thinking about getting the Teclast x98 Air: http://www.tinydeal.com/it/teclast-x...-p-145198.html
Anyone have any experience with Chinese dual boot tablets, or have any other recommendations? I'm coming from a nexus 7 that just shit the bed on me.

But, my custom built laptop that according to the specs I too get battery running half as advertised, and well the camera is horrible compared to what??, and well windows in general has issues loading. So, honestly I found more positive reviews on the product than bad. I guess it would really depend on what you are hoping to get out of it. Tons of people want a full blow pc out of their tablet. But if that's not the case I really don't see a whole lot wrong with the product. And it's pretty cheap. I bought my kids I-pad mini for 149.00 EA. last christmas.
They were on sale somewhere. I don't remember where we got them. You can easily find them for 199.00 at walmart though. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Apple-iPad...Wi-Fi/22081453
Personally I am willing to sacrifice some specs to buy a durable product. Other than that the china tablet seems to have some bang.
You want dual boot so obviously the ipad won't work for you.
So I guess to sum up and actually answer your question I don't see anything wrong with the teclast tablet for its price.

CM has, but not everyone is on top with updating. Some devices are unsupported, like these Chinese tablets, no OTA or stock images to flash, vuln forever.
Both my Moto X and Galaxy S4 Active are vuln to CVE-2015-3828, stock and have no OTA patches avalible from either ATT/USCellular or manufacture.
