Need someone urgently with computer software / programming knowledge.
Basically I need asap a way to dump a whole facebook conversation into text a notepad or something fast.
I cant drag up and copy because it takes the whole screen, and this is a few years of conversation I need to go through.
itits because I need some evidence and the fastest way is getting it all onto some file and using the find function.

I mean there's no really simple way of doing this. I just took a look. I'll keep poking about when I have time, though.
Reason being is because the messages aren't loaded onto the scope until you tell the page you want another set of messages(200-300 iirc)..

There's a "Search messages in conversation" at the top of the page, by then new message button.

Firefox, go to the inbox page and open the chat you want to save. Scroll to the very top of convo (be sure to click the "show more messages" and keep scrolling up until it stops). Hit alt, save page as, and be sure the save type is "Web Page, complete".
Might save everything, you can transfer just the convo itself later into a notepad. Don't delete the folder that comes with the HTML file.

just use some screen recording software and record yourself scrolling thru the messages.
save as video, and it's also proof that you're not editing anything.

Also, if you do what I said, you'd have the entire HTML saved, you'd then be able to ctrl+f to search way quicker without Facebook hanging up on you.
